Libera Viva
Photos of an abandoned, sprawling building, with overgrown gardens, and rooms that still bear the traces of a past, and a sometimes without doubt brutal, human presence. Lists of objects, printed on thin paper. Texts. All elements interwoven into the artist’s book – designed by Lupo Burtscher for Elisabeth Hölzl – to create an atmospheric structure that takes a former psychiatric institution in Naples as a starting point for various aesthetic and historical-documentary reflections.
